Celtic have left Liel Abada out of their Champions League squad.

Two players could have been added to the squad by 11pm on Monday night but the 19-year-old winger hasn’t been added despite Chris Jullien being included while being out with a long term injury.

Abada came on for the second half of Saturday’s home defeat from Preston but will have to watch the Champions League qualifiers against Midtjylland from the sidelines.

The SPFL opener away to Hearts on July 31 would seem to be the target date for the Israeli winger with a friendly on Saturday against West Ham another chance to get some minutes on the park.

Ange Postecoglou’s first two signings have been wingers, Kyogo Furuhashi being the other but neither will feature tonight, Mikey Johnston and Karamoko Dembele are out injured with James Forrest only having an outside chance of being involved.
