Celtic have turned to Dudu Dahan as they try to break their transfer duck.

With a week to go until the Champions League qualifier against Midtjylland Ange Postecoglou is working with the squad that he inherited with the exception of Osaze Urhoghide.

It has been a slow revolution so far as the hoops move through their pre-season schedule but today The Sun report on interest in Liel Abada, a 19-year-old winger at Maccabi Petah Tikva:

Abada made his Israel debut against Montenegro in June and has been given the green light to quit his club. Reports in his homeland claim he has now left the country to hold talks with interested parties.

It’s understood Israeli agent Dudu Dahan has been given a mandate by Petah Tikva to secure a transfer. He has worked closely with Celtic before on deals for Nir Bitton, Efe Ambrose, Beram Kayal and Ismaila Soro.

New boss Ange Postecoglou has admitted he urgently wants to sign a winger in this transfer window.

That list of players excludes Hatem Abd Elhamed who was bought and sold from Hapoel Beer Sheva after starting just seven SPFL matches and making six substitute appearances. The story comes from David Friel who got the exclusive on Neil Lennon’s resignation in February.

Nineteen days after the joint media conference with Dom McKay the new Celtic boss is still waiting to integrate new players into his plans.

With James Forrest self-isolating Karamoko Dembele was given a starting berth in the 2-1 win over Charlton Athletic, Mikey Johnston was a second half substitute.
