Ibrox fans have taken to social media to protest at the absence of Willie Vass from the friendly against Arsenal.
The photographer has loyally captured the spirit of the club from birth in 2012 at Brechin right through the season behind closed doors with the magic of Murty and passion of Pedro Caixinha captured forever.
During the summer the club decided to charge reporters and photographers £25,000 to gain access to media conferences and matches. Freelance Vass has his images used by a number of publications with fans able to buy directly from his website.
It is unclear what level of take-up there has been for the media policy but Vass has opted out meaning that he’ll only be able to take pictures from away matches.
Rather than record images of the 9th anniversary match against Arsenal Vass was along the road at Dumbarton snapping away at the Colts match against Bo’ness United.
Can’t believe what I’ve seen on here today. Willie Vass not getting entry in to Ibrox unless he pays the same money as the gutter establishments that have tarred Rangers for years.
Willie stood by us through all the tough years and shouldn’t be treated like this.

I’m rarely critical of @RangersFC however if it’s true that they have removed access to @WillieVass and expect him to pay under this media charge then it’s an absolute disgrace..
He’s served our club and it’s fans for years!
This needs to be rectified, surely @RangersFCSLO ?

Replace them with a guy who is arguably the best on the business at what he does. Willie and his matchday images are second to none. He’s been treated poorly by the club and let’s be honest they’re not going to do anything about it the only we this changes is fan pressure.

He’s freelance, so works for himself.
