John Paul Taylor is hopeful that Celtic fans will soon be able to attend away matches.

The hoops visit Tynecastle on Saturday for the opening SPFL match with between 2-4,000 fans expected inside the ground.

With that number it is understandable that tickets will only go to home supporters but on the same day 2,000 Hibs fans will be watching their team in action at Fir Park.

Celtic’s next SPFL away day is at Ibrox towards the end of August with at best 800 fans allowed to attend.

After an international break in September the hoops are away at Livingston where in recent seasons they have been allocated three stands at the Toni Macaroni Arena.

The last away match that Celtic fans were able to attend was a 2-2 draw away to Livi in March 2020. Away fans aren’t allowed to attend any UEFA qualifiers this season.
