Newcastle United have announced that they have taken on a new retail deal that will see Castore manufacture and sell all of the club’s playing kit.
Since Mike Ashley took control of the club everything associated with Newcastle has been part of Ashley and his Sports Direct chain.
While Castore has been cultivated as two likely lads from Liverpool taking on Adidas and Nike from the backstreets of Merseyside the reality is a little different with mystery British investors helping to promote the company.
Only those that believe that there are billionaires in Motherwell will accept that Ashley is prepared to give an independent rival access to Newcastle United and their fanbase.
After the hype surrounding their Ibrox launch the reality of the service has shocked many fans. Delivery has been haphazard with quality standards non-existent with Social Media showing kit that is unrecognisable after a wash or two.
Sports Direct are still waiting for damages and costs from the Ibrox club for failing to provide them with matching rights when they switched to Hummel in 2018. The Danish firm cut short their three year contract with 12 months left to run allowing the Beahon Boys of Castore to step in.
? #NUFC can confirm a new multi-year partnership with Castore, which will see the brand creating bespoke kit ready for the 2021/22 Premier League season.

Rangers fan mate of mine showed me his castore kit after a couple of washes and it cries out ” SportsDirect Shite”, be prepared for a massive queue in the refund departments of stores selling them IF they are same quality.

Watch the quality of the strips ours wash the logos off after one wash and they don’t do full refunds.

Good to see another MA company involved in the club

Uh oh. My rangers top ended up getting made in turkey because they couldn’t keep up with the demand and the quality is awful. Wouldn’t say I’ve worn it a huge amount and loads of the print has peeled off

The fact they’re bringing back club shops in the city centre is awesome. Not that I’ll buy anything until Ashley goes mind.
