Fabrizio Romano has tipped Brandon Soppy to be Celtic’s next transfer target.
The Italian based transfer guru was first to spotlight Celtic’s interest in Carl Starfelt with that deal appearing to have progressed overnight.
After beating Sheffield Wednesday last week Ange Postecoglou highlighted right-back as an area that needs strengthened with Soppy a very ambitious target as the Australian looks to put his stamp on the squad he inherited last month.

Soppy only made nine appearances at Rennes last season but has an international pedigree and has been closely monitored in recent times as he pushes through to first team level.
With his contract running until June 2022 this summer will be critical to player and club, if an extension can’t be agreed Rennes will be looking to sell now rather than pick up a development fee in 12 months time.
Tony Ralston, Lee O’Connor and Osaze Urhoghide have played at right-back in Celtic’s pre-season matches, after the transfer of Jeremie Frimpong the hoops brought in Jonjo Kenny on loan to fill in at right-back.
