Celtic crossed the border from their Newport base to take on Bristol City and returned nursing their wounds.
When Ange Postecoglou selected his side to face the Championship outfit some notable names were absent- Kris Ajer, Nir Bitton, James Forrest, Odsonne Edouard, Ryan Christie, Tom Rogic and Boli Bolingoli. Vasilis Barkas dislocated a finger during the warm up to be added to that list.

*Karamoko Dembele assaulted by a hammer thrower. Not one Celtic player confronting the poor challenge from behind.
*Ismaila Soro hamstring.

On Saturday Celtic host Preston North End with the Champions League qualifier three days later against Midtjylland dominating Postecoglou’s thoughts.
Most of his starting XI to face the Danes need game time but the level of injuries being picked up is bound to have an impact on Postecoglou’s selection.
