Leigh Griffiths will be spared from running the gauntlet at Tynecastle tomorrow.

The former Hibs striker has always came in for special treatment from Hearts fans, after the events of the last 18 months there would have been no shortage of sticks to beat him with in tomorrow’s SPFL opener.

Only 5,000 fans will be inside the ground but with an 8pm kick-off on a Saturday those with tickets are certain to be in high spirits.

14 minutes 50 seconds:

Lee still has two or three days of rehab, the scan showed that he has a little bit of an issue with his calf, he’s two or three days away.

Griffiths has only played 35 minutes of football this season, taking a couple of corner kicks during Celtic’s 6-2 defeat from West Ham. On Monday he reported a calf strain which ruled him out of the Champions League trip to Denmark.

That left Ange Postecoglou with just Odsonne Edouard and Albian Ajeti to chose from although Kyogo Furuhashi will add firepower when he joins the club in the coming days.
