Team News: Ange turns to youth as Rogic and other big names miss out

Celtic complete their three match training programme in Wales with a trip across the border to take on Bristol City tonight.

Ange Postecoglou has picked a youthful side with Stephen Welsh and Osaze Urhoghide anchoring the central defence. Mikey Johnston starts on the left with Karamoko Dembele on the right.

Of equal interest is the players missing with no sign of Kris Ajer, Nir Bitton, Tom Rogic, Odsonne Edouard, Ryan Christie and Boli Bolingoli in the squad for the match.

While the match is going on Celtic’s transfer activities look like bringing in new players with Carl Starfelt close to joining the club with the deal for Liel Abada announced at 6.20pm tonight.

Celtic have until 11pm on Thursday to announce their squad for the Champions League qualifiers against Midtjylland although two players can be added by 11pm on Monday, the day before the match.
