Video: Furuhashi flies out of Japan with quarantine plan revealed

Kyogo Furuhashi has left Japan and is expected to quarantine in London before joining his new team-mates at Celtic.

It seems that the winger will go through a similar process to Ange Postecoglou as he makes the switch from Japan to Scotland.

Early on Friday morning the move was announced by Vissel Kobe sparking something of a frenzy in both countries.

Celtic’s Twitter following has soared while fans turned to You Tube and other sources to get the low-down on the 26-year-old winger.

Furuhashi didn’t disappoint Vissel fans with a goal in his farewell appearance on Saturday against Cerezo Osaka.

With the J-League in mid-season there shouldn’t be any major fitness issues for Celtic’s new signing to overcome but quarantine is likely to take its toll.

So far this season Furuhashi has scored 15 times in 21 appearances including one in each of his last five matches.
