Ange Postecoglou knows that time is something that is never on the side of a Celtic manager.
Three competitive games in and the Australian is waiting on his first win since taking over from last season’s failed management team.
Tonight it was Hearts, on Wednesday it was Midtjylland but the truth is that this sub-standard Celtic side is beating itself.
After playing in every match so far this season Postecoglou decided to drop Stephen Welsh to the bench, pairing Carl Starfelt up with Nir Bitton’s who’s stupidity at home to Midtjylland opened the door to the bang average Danes.
??”We can’t afford time, we’ve got to start getting results and turning our good play into results.”

Within 10 minutes tonight Gary Mackay Steven opened the scoring as Starfelt and Bitton were cut wide open.
Tony Ralston provided a moment of brilliance to draw Celtic level but like Callum McGregor’s goal in Denmark it was to prove pointless as John Soutar scored the winner from a late free kick.
Celtic look no closer towards finding a team than when they played Sheffield Wednesday in the first pre-season match in Wales.
The pressure is building, the spotlight is on Postecoglou and the board with goodwill in short supply as the new season looks to be a continuation of last season’s misery. With fans returning it will be impossible for Celtic to switch off the noise as protests become real inside and around the ground.
