Celtic have announced a season long loan for Leigh Griffiths with the striker returning to Dundee.
On July 1 Celtic handed Griffiths a 12 month contract but less than two months later he is a Dundee player with his hoops career over unless the most incredible set of circumstances are played out.
Last week the striker turned 31, after just 35 minutes in a friendly against West Ham he’ll have some work to do on the training ground with Charlie Adam to get upto match fitness.

With Odsonne Edouard’s transfer to Crystal Palace expected to be announced at any moment Celtic will be looking to bring in at least one striker to provide backing and competition to Kyogo Furuhashi.
A deal for VVV Venlo striker Georgios Giakoumakis seems the most likely move with fans tuned in to social media to see if Ange Postecoglou can push through any late deals with the transfer window closing at midnight.
Dundee boss James McPake is a former Hibs team-mate of Griffiths.
