Leo Hjelde appears to be on course to complete his transfer to Leeds United.
The defender is in the final year of his three year Celtic deal and has been linked with a move to the EPL since the transfer window opened.
A dozen games on loan at Ross County looked like setting the teenager up for a place in Celtic’s plans for this season but the lure of Leeds looks to have won the battle for Hjelde’s mind.
Incomings wise, Leeds will get Leo Hjelde from Celtic done before the deadline. As Bielsa said last week, more than that looks unlikely. Good chance that Poveda will head to Blackburn on loan. #lufc @TheAthleticUK

After being involved in Celtic’s pre-season matches Hjelde was on the substitute bench for both matches against Midtjylland but hasn’t featured since.
He did play in the B team matches against Berwick Rangers and Bo’ness United but has missed the last three Lowland League and SPFL Trust matches.
Celtic are expected to sign Liam Scales from Shamrock Rovers before the transfer window closes with the left-sided defender looking similar in profile to Hjelde.
