Celtic Park will be close to full capacity for Sunday’s League Cup tie against Hearts.

A crowd of 24,500 attended Sunday’s win over Dundee with around 50,000 expected for Thursday’s Europa League qualifier against Jablonec.

Protocols from the SFA and UEFA have put the Main/South Stand largely out of bounds but that will change for Sunday’s visit from Hearts.

The tunnel area will be reserved for substitutes and some backroom staff with Celtic Park in line for a strong run of home fixtures after almost 18 months mothballed. If successful against Jablonec Celtic will host AZ Alkmaar next Thursday followed by a fifth successive home match three days later against St Mirren.

Playing in front of Celtic fans will be a whole new experience for as many as half of the Celtic side that is likely to play against Jablonec.

Kyogo Furuhashi certainly seemed to enjoy the experience of scoring in the rain against Dundee, playing in front of over 50,000 under the disco lights on Thursday should help cement his introduction to the club.
