Two days after the defeat Tynecastle Celtic fans are still debating the issues from the night.
The chronic issues in the Celtic side are well known, from goalkeeper to centre-forward it is hard to make a case for any position in the team that is functioning.
Those issues have been well known since the club presented Ange Postecoglou to the support. Archive You Tube interviews and some clips from the training ground won’t transform a squad that has been on the slide for three years.
Match officials is an area that Celtic can call out but strangely it is an issue that no-one inside the club is prepared to go near.
In February Bobby Madden set off for Dingwall chasing a match fee despite knowing that his colleague David Roome had tested positive. Madden should have been self-isolating but put his match fee ahead of the safety of players. A few hours before kick-off he was replaced.
Madden remains at the top of the list for SFA appointments, on Saturday his judgement was again questionable when he refused to take action against his Open Goal colleague Andy Halliday for a brutal attack on Callum McGregor. In January Madden didn’t hesitate to send off Nir Bitton at Ibrox, he physically restrained Alfredo Morelos and took no action against the Colombian.
Assistant referee Graham Stewart wrongly flagged offside in the build up to a move that led to the ball going into the Hearts net. Stewart had the benefit of the 18-yard line and two Hearts players plus Craig Gordon between the last Celtic player.
Traditional media haven’t touched these incidents, they are certain to be brought up next time Dom McKay meets with Celtic fan media outlets.
Not one person at @CelticFC with the courage to call out the cheating Refs and Halliday’s assault. Not only are our club incompetent they are now hiding from their responsibility to defend our team and players from cheats and thugs. HH pic.twitter.com/iqSLeTdQ9E

we know we have problems with team, but it”s downhearting when officials and media rub it in

Exactly. It is NOT Ange’s job. The CEO should be out publicly denouncing the appalling refereeing decisions regardless of results.

How even is an arm offside in any case?? Surely an outstretched arm ahead of a defender doesn’t constitute being ahead, it’s not that he can use his arm to control the ball?!!! The definition needs more thought

That’s what happens when you have the ref sitting on open goal right next to halliday. Its embarrassing how this is allowed.

You have to seriously wonder where the board’s loyalties lie. Personally wouldn’t pay another penny into corrupt Scottish football
