Sevco’s delayed flag raising ceremony has hit another snag with a sponsor’s logo for cinch in the centre of flags for the 2020/21 season.

The SFA were expected to rule this week on the refusal of Douglas Park’s dispute with the SPFL’s new sponsor but just like the February Covidiot case involving Nathan Patterson it seems that the SFA are afraid of a decision that isn’t approved by their partners at Ibrox.

Partick Thistle and Hearts have taken delivery of their commemorative flags that will be unfurled in front of fans this weekend.

Sevco only had 17,000 fans in for their opening SPFL match against Livingston but will have a full house for next Sunday’s visit from Celtic.

In previous seasons Neil Doncaster has been part of the presentation ceremony, if the Ibrox club aren’t prepared to endorse cinch it will have to be a home-made unfurling of the flag with all mainstream media outlets except Sky Sports and STV unable to get media access to Ibrox.

Celtic played against Z Alkmaar with the cinch logo on their shirt.
