Chris Jullien took a look at his new team-mates yesterday and like every other Celtic fan was impressed by the performance against Dundee.

The Frenchman hasn’t played this season but got a glimpse of what he can look forward to as 24,500 fans watched Ange Postecoglou’s new look side score six while threatening to run up double figures.

Four of the new signings started the match with James McCarthy looking on from the stand at his new team-mates.

Kyogo Furuhashi, Ryan Christie and David Turnbull caught the eye but in defence there was a clean sheet for Joe Hart playing behind Stephen Welsh and Carl Starfelt.

Jullien will have the task of playing his way back into the side but reports on his recovery from knee surgery have been thin on the ground outwith the occasional social media post.

On Thursday night Celtic Park will be close to capacity for the Europa League match against Jablonec, bringing back memories of Jullien’s late winner against Lazio.
