Gordon Strachan has spoken out about his twin role with Celtic and Dundee.

The Dens Park Technical Director is taking on a three month consultancy at Celtic which will cover the Academy, B team and the Ladies team.

It seems an unlikely mix to be working with two clubs at once but Strachan told the Celtic website:

I am really looking forward to returning to the Club to assist in these areas. ?The development of young players and seeing them improve and grow is a real passion for me and I will do anything I can to support the Club in these areas.

Great people at Celtic always do great work.? I look forward to building on this work, liaising with Dom and all our Celtic colleagues once again and hope we can work together for the benefit of the Club and these teams so they ultimately can develop further and bring Celtic success.

I also look forward to continuing my work at Dundee FC where I have established a great working relationship and close bond with the Manager, Managing Director, staff and coaches.

Three months seems a very short time span to put in far reaching measures at important areas of the club.

Whatever recommendations he puts forward will be upto Dom McKay to implement leaving the role of Technical or Sporting Director still open.

Recruitment seems to be the area of the club that is currently short staffed with Nick Hammond resigning in March followed by Peter Lawwell stepping down as CEO at the end of June.

Last season Strachan was a regular matchday pundit on Celtic TV while also being involved in media work for BT Sport and Premier Sports.
