Kyogo Furuhashi has turned to Instagram after being put in the spotlight by racism from Ibrox fans.

Travelling to watch their first away-day in 17 months some fans decided to sing offensive songs while others took videos and shared them among friends.

By Sunday evening the videos were dominating social media with Celtic turning to Twitter to condemn the actions of those involved.

There has been no significant developments today in terms of identifying those involved or action from the Ibrox club or Police Scotland but in mid-afternoon the Celtic striker decided to comment to his 129,000 followers.

Picking up on the Celtic anthem he messaged ‘I’ll never walk alone’ with 700 comments added within 20 minutes of publishing.

With Kyoto being one of the most well known players in Japan the incident will go worldwide putting extra pressure and responsibility for the Ibrox club to be seen to be taking action against those involved.

Kyoto has been in Scotland for 24 days since his transfer from Vissel Kobe.
