Celtic fans trashed Tom English after he finished his nightmare day with a visit to Twitter.
During Saturday hoops fans had enjoyed the defeat for Steven Gerrard’s Invincibles with the icing on the cake being the pre-match prediction of BBC Scotland’s chief sports writer.
If the United players had been listening they’d have been as well calling off and accepting the 3-0 defeat from the SPFL.
English is never far from his Twitter account, by early afternoon his ridiculous pre-match wishes had gone viral with Kevin Bridges added to the fun.
With the Olympics going on in Tokyo and a lions tour of South Africa it must have been painful for English to be stuck in a studio sharing the pain from Tannadice with Mark er um Hateley.
Before the match kicked off BBC Scotland were presented with a genuine news story from John Lundstrum. Admitting that his side’s pre-season build up had been impacted by C*vid cases is the sort of story that would be ceased upon anywhere in the world, except for viewers in Scotland.
BBC Scotland haven’t touched that story, instantly destroying the Ibrox miracle of last season. Tweeting about Celtic fans is more English’s style than chasing after his first non Gorgie Road exclusive.
Quite a number of Celtic fans on here tonight living their life vicariously as Dundee United supporters.

Why you always banging on about Celtic fans?! I think everyone has already sussed you out already Tom. ?

Tom can you clarify the FEW recent positive Covid cases that Lundstram mentioned today on his Sky pre match interview and who has had to isolate due to contact with them ??
— ian mc mull (@imcmull1) August 7, 2021
Tom, I think you will find that most conscious humans will be happily existing with that result. You might even find dundee fans slightly smirk at such as result.
It’s because they are human beings.— Chico Crispy (@Sharpie1903) August 7, 2021
Not so long since you labelled them as ‘bed wetters’ – I’m pretty sure supporting Dundee Utd isn’t the motivation tonight ?

Just mocking you lauding the govan club who have won 1 league with no fans as some sort of force?Who btw have lost as many competitive games as Celtic?
— BoltonBhoy74? (@scott_melville) August 7, 2021
Tom ……Celtic fans on being Celtic fans…..tribute act lost 2 matches in less than a week surely crisis time or is there a covid issue ? as confirmed by their big signing

In fairness Tom, you’ve lived your life vicariously as a pundit, so don’t be too judgemental.
— The Huddle ? (@letsdothehuddle) August 7, 2021
Living vicariously you say.
Is this the same Tom English who agreed to have a “pop” At Paul Murray on behalf of Craig Whyte?
I hardly think you can take the moral high ground.

The really interesting thing to take from this email, is the collaboration in fabricating a narrative to get a point across.
It’s all staged.“Tom English has said he’ll have a pop at Paul Murray… Scotsman used his comments on the back page with our responses ie. irrelevant.” pic.twitter.com/UQz9KDfDZQ
