Celtic are being tipped to complete ‘one in one out’ in the transfer market.

The pace picked up yesterday with the arrivals of Joe Hart and James McCarthy but a week after being knocked out of the Champions League Ange Postecoglou’s squad still has massive weaknesses.

Carl Starfelt has been the only defender brought in, within an hour of Kris Ajer being sold, with departures also expected on the back of last season.

Odsonne Edouard has widely been expected to move on but with less than four weeks to run in the transfer window he remains Celtic’s first choice striker with Albian Ajeti the only alternative.

Bringing things upto date, Scott Burns of the Daily Record reports:

But as Ange Postecoglou and the board attempt to continue the huge rebuild needing for the squad, Buta could be next to join the revolution.

Celtic and Royal Antwerp remain in talks over the right-back, although a deal of just under £3million has been agreed. All that is left is for the 24-year-old to agree personal terms.

As for outgoings, Odsonne Edouard may be first to go. Brighton will push to get a £20million deal for the French star over the line.

Buta is in the final year of his contract at Royal Antwerp with interest also reported from Turkey.

Tony Ralston has excelled at right-back in the last two matches but beyond him it seems that neither Lee O’Connor or Osaze Urhoghide are highly rated.
