Celtic and VVV Venlo seem to be in advanced negotiations over a deal for Georgios Giakoumakis with a sell-on clause under discussion.
Athens based journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos has been a trusted source since the transfer of Vasilis Barkas last summer and seems to be well briefed on Giakoumakis’ next move.

The striker moved to Venlo last summer from AEK Athens after a season on loan at Gornik Zabze in Poland. Despite Venlo’s relegation Giankoumakis scored an incredible 26 goals in 30 matches.
It seems that a fairly average scoring record prior to last season has put other clubs off from making an approach with Ange Postecoglou reported to have made direct contact with the player.
Kyogo Furuhashi has enjoyed a flying start to his Celtic career but there are question marks over the contributions of Odsonne Edouard, Albian Ajeti and Leigh Griffiths.
