Celtic leapt to the top of the SPFL Premiership yesterday with a 6-0 win over St Mirren to give Ange Postecoglou’s side an impressive +11 goal difference after three matches.
That status will come to a halt today but after a year in hibernation the rest of the SPFL is looking anxiously at events at Celtic as they try to understand Ange-Ball.
Attacking football has been rebranded as ‘high press’ with Postecoglou insisting that his side play for 90 minutes rather than switch off when a few goals clear with fans racing for the exits.

Kyogo Furuhashi took a back seat yesterday, moved out to the left wing as David Turnbull beat Liel Abada to take the matchball home.
With Tom Rogic, James Forrest and James McCarthy not starting there is a little depth to Postecoglou’s forward options, even Albian Ajeti looked as if he was tuning in and engaged after last season’s sterile experiences.
If the board can bring in another defender or two and resolve the contract issues with Ryan Christie and Odsonne Edouard there is every chance that other clubs could suffer like St Mirren.
