Celtic’s Ticket Office and Supporters Liaison Officer were under siege today.
The return of supporters after a 17 month absence turned out to be a very challenging experience with a variety of issues preventing fans from being inside the ground.
Three cup ties over the course of seven days seems to have caught the club out as they deal with a surge of fans buying tickets.
With the South Stand virtually out of commission many fans had to be rehouse. Other were on the Home Ticket Scheme but found their seats moved with the club appearing to be overwhelmed as they tried to get everyone inside safely.
Since the last 50,000 plus crowd at home to St Mirren 17 months ago fans have come to terms with QR codes being in everyday use. Unfortunately, Celtic have been left behind with fans emailed tickets to print off and use.
Staff at the Ticket Office last night were on the front line as fans heard the roar of the crowd as the action kicked off.
After 17 months waiting the club seemed ill prepared, with a big crowd expected for the match against Hearts on Sunday followed quickly by AZ Alkmaar there is little time to sort out the issues causing fans such grief.

@CelticFCSLO Afternoon JP. Ticketing system will not allow me to buy tix for next week for all on the account. Telling us we all need to log into non existent accounts to buy individually & one ST is completely unable to buy one. Been on HCTS/Euro packs for years Seems a puzzle
