Chris Sutton has asked whether Ange Postecoglou will be served up to Ibrox bloggers following the Glasgow derby in three weeks.

This season there has been minimal mainstream coverage of pre and post-match events at Ibrox with the club introducing a charging system for all media outlets.

Sky Sports has access as part of their SPFL contract but take up from other outlets has been minimal.

A couple of Ibrox fan-sites appear to have paid up for the package which serves up an interesting prospect at the end of this month.

Writing in the Daily Record Sutton outlines the scene:

I’m told Livingston boss David Martindale was being quizzed by those Rangers fan outlets after last week’s game at Ibrox.

What sort of situation is that? How on earth can people who have no concept about what’s going on at Livingston manage to get any sort of proper information and news from another team’s manager to get across to their fans?

Why will Ange Postecoglou, Jack Ross, or Stephen Glass or anyone else do post-match media at Ibrox in the coming weeks?

That starves fans of info and, more importantly, the lack of coverage is going to have an effect on other clubs potentially with advertising.

SPFL rules require clubs to make a member of management and a player available to the media after each match.

That normally consists of 20 or more reporters from national newspapers, a few local publications, club media and perhaps one or two supporter sites.

No sanctions or punishments have been applied for the highly restricted media access offered by the Ibrox club but as the SPFL hype up the Glasgow derby it is hard to imagine Celtic allowing their manager to be quizzed by Ibrox websites.
