Alex Crook of TalkSPORT has claimed that Southampton have no interest in Ryan Christie.
The midfielder is out of contract in January and is able to sign a pre-contract agreement with any non-Scottish club then move on for free in January.
Christie has played with renewed energy since Ange Postecoglou took over as manager but remains on the relatively modest contract that he signed in November 2018 soon after bursting into the Celtic side.

Southampton have regularly raided Celtic for players, getting great value from Fraser Forster, Victor Wanyama, Virgil van Dijk and Stuart Armstrong.
There is almost certainly a level of interest in a current internationalist in the final year of his contract, what isn’t known is whether that interest is strong enough to put in a bid before the transfer window closes.
Christie looks likely to be involved in Celtic’s matches at Alkmaar and Ibrox- if he remains at the club once the window closes the speculation will continue over whether he will leave for free or be offered a contract towards the top end of Celtic’s salary scale.
