Celtic turned to Twitter tonight to condemn the racist abuse of Kyogo Furuhashi on social media.
The long bus journey and the first away day in almost 18 months proved too much for some Ibrox fans as they acted up for the cameras and shared their racist acts with fellow fans.
Furuhashi has been in Scotland for three weeks.
Rather than make a statement on the club website with attributable quotes and a plan of action on how to deal with the issue Celtic stuck to Twitter.
Unfortunately, a number of Celtic players in recent years have suffered similar racist abuse.
As a club open to all, we stand firmly against racism in all its forms and we will give Kyogo our full support.
All stakeholders must work together in tackling all forms of bigotry.

It is believed that 1,200 tickets were issued to away fans for the match with Ross County, everyone travelling to the match will be a season ticket holder and known to the club.
The video clips were taken in broad daylight with those involved easy to identify. If Scottish football is serious about dealing with racists those involved can be identified and banned from Ibrox tomorrow, anything less will simply be tokenism and grandstanding.
