Celtic Park took a step back in time on Thursday night as it welcomed its first 50,000 plus crowd in 17 months.
It was an emotional experience for almost all fans as they returned to the venue which has probably been the greatest constant in their life, and their families’ life.
Returning to almost forgotten seats, seeing familiar faces and lots more features was embraced by the fans as they picked up on where they’d left off.

An old song book was dusted off and restored with gusto.
There was a stirring pre-match You’ll Never Walk Alone, in the middle of the first half different sections of the ground joined in with Glasgow’s Green and White.
In the middle of the second half the club’s greatest ever side was remembered with In The Heat of Lisbon with a more recent addition back on the song list.
Grace was adopted by Celtic fans right from the start of the 2016/17 season as a new manager came in to find his feet. It is asking too much for Ange Postecoglou to repeat the achievements of that season but he will have the backing tunes as his players feed off the enthusiasm of the support.
