Ibrox fans turned on Steven Gerrard and their title heroes after watching Malmo end their hopes of a £40m Champions League pay day.
Last week’s 2-1 first leg defeat was seen as a blip or early warning with Alfredo Morelos levelling the aggregate scores in the 20th minute with a header that came off his shoulder and trundled over the line.
When Malmo were reduced to 10 men at the end of the first half the stage was sent for a famous victory and a huge step towards a first ever appearance in the Champions League.
At the start of the second half nerves set in, some fans called James Tavernier bad names then the roof fell in with a glorious double from Antonio Colak.
Silence in the stands turned into howls of complaint and abuse as Malmo’s 10 men held on comfortably with barely a scare around goal.
Tav wet into hiding, Ryan Kent and Ianis Hagi fired shots towards the top tier of the Copland Road as the fans streamed out to share their anger and abuse online.
Even Pedro Caixinha never suffered three defeats on the bounce.

We are an absolute embarrassment….to throw that away from the position we were in at half time is unforgivable & il tell you right now we ain’t winning the league this year as once again this group have bottled it under pressure. Can’t see how this turns around

Don’t deserve anything if we canny beat malmo at home. Like watching 2 different teams from the first half to the second half. The worrying thing is that they are no better than a hibs/aberdeen but yet can do us over 2 legs, would that be acceptable in the domestic league?

Truly awful, completely leaderless in the 2nd half. Humiliating! Some of these players should be sold and the summer recruitment has been poor. Dreadful start to the season.

Horrific stuff. What kinda second half performance was that against 10 men? So simple for them to grab a quick fire two goals AGAIN. Utter pish. Burn that bogging strip and never let me see it again.
