Boli Bolingoli has been axed from Celtic’s 25 man squad for the Europa League group matches.

Recent signing Liam Scales is one of six new names added to the pool with Bolingoli the biggest name to drop out.

The former Rapid Vienna defender has yet to play any competitive football under Ange Postecoglou but was on the substitute bench for both legs of the Play Off tie against AZ Alkmaar.

The remainder of the squad is fairly straight-forward with the three players that left on transfer deadline day replaced by three of the arrivals. Josip Juranovic and Scales are also added as is the currently injured Chris Jullien.

Celtic kick off the group stage next Thursday in Seville when they take on Real Betis. After the demands of the international break Ange Postecoglou won’t have much time to work with a team for Saturday’s match against Ross County but with five days to work his squad the team to face Betis should be close to his first XI.
