Image for Celtic fans teased by early comeback signal

Kyogo Furuhashi has taken to Instagram, posting an image with three fingers in the air.

The striker was injured on international duty when Japan beat China, being substituted early in the second half setting off a trail of speculation over his fitness.

On September 10 Ange Postecoglou announced that he expected Kyogo to be out for three or four weeks but the three finger picture could be a sign that the Japanese striker is aiming for the lower target.

Kyogo’s injury came at the worst possible time for Celtic. With Leigh Griffiths and Odsonne Edouard leaving the club on deadline day Albian Ajeti is the only striker available as Georgios Geokoumakis works on his fitness following his transfer from VVV Venlo.

The three week target could be Kyogo back in action for the SPFL clash away to Aberdeen on October 3 ahead of the next break for international matches.

With seven goals in his first month as a Celtic player the return of the Japanese striker is something that Postecoglou will be hoping runs to schedule.
