Celtic will get first use of Hampden for next month’s Premier Sports Cup semi-finals with the Saturday slot for their match against St Johnstone on November 20, which will kick off at 5.15pm.

With the SFA and SPFL committed to using Hampden both semi-finals will be played within 24 hours with Ange Postecoglou getting his first taste of the national stadium.

The November 20 clash will be St Johnstone’s fifth visit to Hampden in a year with Callum Davidson’s side getting to play in front of their fans as they defend the trophy they lifted last season for the first time. Steven Gerrard’s side will face Hibs in the other semi-final with a 4pm kick-off on Sunday November 21.

Celtic enjoyed home wins over Hearts and Raith Rovers to reach the semi-final, and are looking to win the trophy for the fifth time in six years after losing out to Ross County last season.

The Saturday evening slot has proved popular in the past, in 2019 the hoops turned on the style to beat Hibs 5-2 with Scott Brown scoring twice.

There is no midweek match ahead of the semi-final, following the Hampden clash Celtic are away to Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League.
