Celtic won’t make a change in terms of a managerial role- former hoops striker believes club will stand with Ange

John Hartson thinks that there is no chance of Celtic ditching Ange Postecoglou.

One win in four matches, at home to Raith Rovers in the Premier Sports Cup, has raised doubts about the new hoops boss after a blistering start had fans drooling over Angeball.

The mood has shifted among many fans as they raise concerns about an inflexible style of play that leaves the defence badly exposed.

Last October there were calls for Neil Lennon to be sacked, Postecoglou’s record of 10 points out of 21 is far worse than the Irishman had but Hartson believes that the Celtic board won’t make a panic decision.

Picking up on his appearance on Go Radio, the Glasgow Times reports the Welshman saying:

Celtic won’t make a change in terms of a managerial role, because if you make a change at this stage, the new manager would have the same problems.

They would want to bring in their own players, and we know the big problems are in defence. We look all over the shop at times.

Matches against Bayer Leverkusen and Aberdeen will test the Celtic squad- after the international break there are difficult away ties at Motherwell and Hibs plus the return of Ferencvaros to Celtic Park.
