David Edgar has challenged Michael Stewart to a video debate.
The Ibrox podcasters is enjoying an incredible surge in popularity with paid subscriptions to his service increasing by 40% after the Daily Record exposed the views of two of Edgar’s now former colleagues.
Stewart’s politics and refusal to bow down to the demands of Ibrox has made him a hate-figure among large sections of Edgar’s 50,000 Twitter followers who have egged their hero on to the challenge.
With his media background and general resourcefulness Stewart will wipe the bedroom floor with Edgar as the acclaimed podcaster is tasked with a rarity- answering questions about his own viewpoints.
In the first decade of this century Edgar came to prominence as the voice of an unhappy yet demanding Ibrox support. The Rangers Trust provided him with a vehicle and access to the media but after publishing an autobiography his media career went much the same way as his club in 2012.
