Lets go- Celtic new bhoy delighted by international outing

Carl Starfelt published a ‘lets gooo’ message to mark his return to international football.

The Celtic new bhoy was given a 30 minute run out in a friendly yesterday as Sweden beat Uzbekistan 2-1 between two vital World Cup qualifiers.

Starfelt played as a defensive midfielder but after missing the cut for the European Championship squad he was pleased to be back in international colours.

International football is something of a nightmare for club managers, Sweden play in Athens on Wednesday night with Ange Postecoglou having to put plans in place for Celtic’s match against Ross County on Saturday.

Loan signing Cameron Carter Vickers will have put in more than a full week of training which could put him in line for a place against Ross County.

Starfelt is unlikely to be starting the match against Greece on Wednesday but after a 30 minute run-out in midfield he is back in the thoughts of manager Janne Andersson.
