Three more men have been arrested and charged with racist related incidents from Sunday. It is believed to relate to Glasgow city centre rather than Ibrox Stadium.

Social media footage showed police officers escorting a couple of hundred fans along Argyle Street while Sky Sports broadcast the chants from inside Ibrox.

It seems that action is being taken slightly quicker than the investigations into the carnage around George Square in May when 15,000 fans broke the Tier 4 restrictions while singing racist songs that brought business in the city to a halt.

A Police Scotland spokesman told the Scottish Sun:

A further three men, aged 26, 23 and 21 years of age have been arrested and charged in connection with the singing of racist material in Glasgow on Sunday August 29 2021.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. In total, since Wednesday, 1 September, six men have now been arrested and charged.

So far there has been no comment about the scenes and incidents by the SFA or SPFL.
