Euan Anderson will referee Celtic’s match at Livingston on Sunday- his second Celtic appointment of the season.
With a large pool of referees to select from it seems strange that the man that took charge of the home win over Dundee on August 8 is given another Celtic fixture so quickly.
Since the match against Dundee Anderson hasn’t been given another Premiership match, his most recent appointments have been at Cove Rangers, Kilmarnock and Inverness Caley Thistle.
The main incident in the Celtic-Dundee match was a brutal attack on Tony Ralston from Jordan Marshall late in the first half which resulted in a booking for the Dundee defender. Marshall was sent off in the 88th minute when he gave away a penalty.
After six rounds of Premiership matches Anderson will have taken charge of just two- both involving Celtic.
Fran Jovic of Croatia will referee Thursday’s Europa League tie against Real Betis.
