Three Ibrox fans have been arrested and charged for racially aggravated offences from Sunday.

In full view of police officers fans sang a variety of racist songs in Glasgow city centre and inside Ibrox Stadium.

Last week the club condemned the racists abusing Kyogo Furuhashi but didn’t issue any apology or name the Season Ticket holders that were banned from Ibrox.

On Monday night the club came out with another half-hearted statement, again there was no apology to the generations of Irish men and women that the racists singing was aimed at.

Chief Superintendent Mark Sutherland, Divisional Commander for Greater Glasgow Police Division told The Sun:

We have made the first of what I expect to be numerous arrests following the disgraceful racial conduct shown by a minority of Rangers supporters who were making their way to Ibrox stadium on Sunday, 29 August.

Three men, aged 24, 21 and 19 years old, were arrested and charged last night Wednesday September 1, in connection with racially aggravated offences towards a member of the public and for the singing of racist material.

This racist conduct will not be tolerated and our investigations are continuing. We will continue to work with Rangers FC to identify and take appropriate action against those responsible

It seems that the phrase minority was being applied to the fans in Glasgow city centre, it’s not known if the Police are reviewing the thousands singing inside Ibrox on Sunday.
