More than a few Celtic fans will be looking on when Japan face Australia at 11.14 this morning in a World Cup qualifier with Ange Postecoglou certain to be taking an interest.

In just over two months Kyogo Furuhashi has become central to Celtic’s hopes and plans with the winger/striker likely to be carrying the hopes of Japan in today’s match.

Three matches into their qualifying campaign Japan have picked up three points, from a win over China best remembered for the knee injury that Kyogo suffered.

Australia have full points from their three matches and arrive in Japan on the back of an 11 match winning run, with Tom Rogic back on board. Martin Boyle, Jackson Irvine and Harry Souttar, brother of John, should also be involved in today’s match.

From the final whistle all roads lead to Fir Park on Saturday as Kyogo and Rogic look to build on Celtic’s away win at Aberdeen.

This link, from the Socceroos website should be showing today’s match with coverage starting at 11am.
