ABC Sport of Australia has picked up on and highlighted the fractured relationship between Ange Postecoglou and the Scottish media.

Before and after every fixture the Celtic boss meets with selected mainstream media outlets with the novelty factor fast wearing off on both sides.

Discovering a new manager, face, voice and ideas seemed like a breath of fresh air to begin with but Postecoglou is starting to see through the questioning with the tone of Alasdair Lamont of BBC Scotland after the Ferencvaros victory a prime example.

Postecoglou tried to dig the BBC reporter out of a hole with a general reply, rather than take up on that Lamont suggested that Kyogo was off form after the Celtic striker had scored a goal that will be remembered for years to come.

The first signs of a tetchy relationship were there on day one when there was a general tone that an Australian from a Japanese club wasn’t capable of understanding and managing Celtic, typically from Chris McLaughlin of BBC Scotland.

I’m not sure what you mean by jump, I guess that means that you think that I’ve worked at a lesser level.

Ange could play along with the media, give them the words and audio clips to populate their outlets but it seems that he is unlikely to fall into the Scottish way of doing things.
