Adam Montgomery is the only addition to the Celtic squad that beat Motherwell on Saturday for tomorrow’s Europa League match against Ferencvaros.
The young defender started the matches against Bayer Leverkusen and Aberdeen but missed the trip to Dir Park after picking up a knock in training.
With Boli Bolingoli omitted from Celtic’s Europa League squad Montgomery looks like being a direct replacement for the Belgian at left-back.
The Daily Record reports Postecoglou saying:
We have a clean bill of health from the weekend, everyone got through the game OK. Coming back in, the only change will be young Adam Montgomery is available. He trained with the team yesterday and today and came through unscathed. So he is ready to go and the rest will be very similar to the weekend.
Chris Jullien, James Forrest, Greg Taylor and Josip Juranovic are the main absentees from tomorrow’s match with Juranovic the player most likely to be back in contention for a place.
James McCarthy and Ismaila Soro failed to make the bench against Motherwell but Postecoglou is permitted two additional substitutes in UEFA matches.
After losing to Real Betis and Bayer Leverkusen in their opening matches anything less than full points tomorrow will virtually kill off Celtic’s hopes of progress in the Europa League.
