Michael Stewart believes that Joe Aribo could have been sent off for his brutal 35th minute ‘challenge’ against Hearts.

With the match goal-less referee Don Robertson decided that a yellow card was sufficient punishment for an incident similar to the recent red card for Ryan Porteous at Ibrox.

Since Alfredo Morelos was given two red cards in December 2019 away to Motherwell and Celtic no Scottish referee has sent off an Ibrox star.

The incident above missed the cut for Sportscene on BBC Scotland, Radio Clyde and Radio Scotland also decided to ignore it in their post-match coverage.

This year alone four Sevco players have been sent off. Leon Balogun and Kemar Roofe in March at home to Slavia Prague, John Lundstram at home to Alashkert and Glen Kamara away to Sparta Prague.
