SPFL Premiership, unfortunately for fans without tickets they had to wait till 10pm to catch two minutes of highlights.

It is doubtful if there is a worse broadcasting deal anywhere in European football.

A fortnight ago Sky showed Celtic’s 2-1 win at Aberdeen, their next scheduled live match is next Sunday when St Mirren host Steven Gerrard’s side. Three full weeks without a live televised match.

Motherwell v Celtic is traditionally a game shown live on telly, yesterday it got a 3pm Saturday slot served up with plenty of incident and a couple of moments of supreme skill.

Tom Rogic delivered one in the 17th minute with a brilliant pass to Jota, the on loan winger couldn’t believe his luck with the quality of the pass or the inviting near post gap left by Liam Kelly.

Early in the second half David Turnbull scored another brilliant goal to add to his Fir Park collection. Kelly was at fault for the opener but had no chance with the second goal as a wicked shot from the former Motherwell man went from left to right to find the net.
