From Portugal, Greece, Japan and Croatia they’ve all come to play Angeball in Scotland.

In less than three months the Celtic support has quickly built up a rapport with the new characters brought together under Ange Postecoglou.

Joe Hart’s attitude says it as much as any player in the squad. A serial winner of the EPL with 75 England caps he seems as impressed by his new workplace as Adam Montgomery with the keeper’s career revived in Glasgow as Celtic develop a new identity.

At the final whistle there did seem to be a misunderstanding between goalscorers Giorgo Giakoumakis and Josip Juranovic but when Kyogo Furuhashi appeared on the scene everything was resolved!

Winning of course always helps but there does seem to be a strong sense of camaraderie among the Celtic squad. Some older, more familiar faces have moved on, life has continued with a group of players making their own mark in front of 60,000 appreciative fans.

Quietly Postecoglou is building some depth to the squad, helped by the emergence of Montgomery and Tony Ralston who started two matches between themselves last season.

Big tests are waiting every week, on Wednesday the hoops are away to Hibs but with four wins on the bounce the squad head to the capital in far better shape than the Matchday One trip to Tynecastle at the end of July.
