Nick Walsh will referee Sunday’s match between Motherwell and Sevco.
So far this season 16 referees have handled Premiership matches but it seems that Walsh is the preferred choice for matches involving Steven Gerrard’s side.
The PE teacher at Boclair Academy in Bearsden was given the recent Ibrox clash against Hibs, four matches later he is back for Sunday’s visit to Fir Park.
Inbetween times Walsh was given the Celtic v St Johnstone match, last night he was picking up another handy match fee from the Ayr United v Kilmarnock match.
Walsh was heavily criticised for his performance when Hibs visited Ibrox. In the opening minutes of the match John Lundstrum escaped any punishment for a brutal attack on Josh Doig. When Ryan Porteous put in a similar challenge that made no contact with Joe Aribo he was shown a red card.
Hibs were leading 1-0 at the time of the sending off but ended up losing 2-1. With Porteous suspended Hibs lost to Dundee United and Aberdeen.
Sunday will be Walsh’s sixth Premiership match of the season, 33% of them involving Sevco.
