Carl Starfelt seems to be enjoying life off the pitch in Scotland as much as on it as Ange Postecoglou’s side start to develop momentum.

On Saturday afternoon he helped to deliver Celtic’s third clean sheet on the bounce with St Johnstone barely able to register a shot on target.

Starfelt moved from Rubin Kazan in July as part of Postecoglou’s rebuild with his signing announced almost at the same time as Kris Ajer headed for Brighton.

Settling in can often be a problem but after a couple of years 500 miles east of Moscow the Swede looks to be fully enjoying Scotland in autumn.

The caption on the image is for the Devil’s Staircase but is more likely to be the Devil’s Pulpit which is near Balfron with the Staircase deep in the Highland close to Fort William.

On Wednesday Starfelt can enjoy a second visit of the season to Edinburgh, looking for better luck than on his debut defeat against Hearts at the end of July.
