Andrew Dallas will be at Ibrox tonight, picking up a match fee as the fourth official to fellow Lanarkshire referee John Beaton.

Aberdeen will be travelling 170 miles to find two key officials from a Sevco heartland.

This season Dallas Junior has been in charge of just three matches, all in the Championship but tonight he is a muscle pull for Beaton away from being pitched into one of the toughest fixtures in Scotland.

Scott McKenna has moved on but Alfredo Morelos goes into the match with plenty of previous against Aberdeen including two red cards.

Last season the match fees came to a halt for Hugh’s boy at the start of December. Injury forced him to pull out of St Mirren’s League Cup tie against Steven Gerrard’s side, fourth official David Dickinsen stepped in, awarded St Mirren a penalty and another trophy campaign for the Ibrox side was over.

After refereeing just three matches it seems a high risk that the SFA are taking at Ibrox with Dallas Mini on the line, during Celtic’s recent win over Motherwell Willie Collum picked up an injury with fourth official Craig Fordyce taking over.
