A lot of water has flown under the bridge since Celtic fans were allowed to cheers their team on to a draw away to Copenhagen in February 2020.

Lockdown has come and gone, sort of, a full season passed by without a fan inside Celtic Park but the joys of a European away day remain hard to fully define.

As trips go there is little doubt that anywhere in Germany is up there among the best.

The locals seem friendly and welcoming, transport is straightforward and easy to understand with a great pub culture to top everything off.

With their team playing in Leverkusen tonight travelling fans have the choice of staying in Cologne or Dusseldorf before making the short train journey to the Bay Arena to watch Ange’s bhoys in action.

After so long without a proper trip the fans are making the most of a midweek winter visit to Germany with one Celtic maw showing off her gymnastic skills!

In the age of social media word quickly gets out with her son having a bit of explaining to do when his Mum returns from her quiet trip to Germany.
