Liam Scales and James McCarthy will be on the bench tomorrow when Celtic take on Ferencvaros in the Europa League.
Ange Postecoglou brought in 12 signings during the summer, after Liam Shaw and Osaze Urhoghide who are still waiting for their debuts the Irish duo have featured least.
McCarthy has had fitness issues limiting his opportunities while Scales has found Boli Bolingoli, Adam Montgomery and Josip Juranovic also competing for the left-back slot.
UEFA allow clubs to name 11 substitutes , using five which increases the options available to Postecoglou for a match where a win will at least guarantee Celtic a place in the Europa Conference in the new year.

They are in the squad, obviously in Europe you have an extended squad and can make extra subs. James and Liam will both be on the bench, depending on how the game goes they may get an opportunity, they’ve both had opportunities during European games, that’ll just depend on how the game is going.
Scales has made two appearances since joining Celtic towards the end of the transfer window, McCarthy’s last match was coming on as a substitute on September 30 at home to Bayer Leverkusen.
Tom Rogic and Carl Starfelt will be missing through injury tomorrow with their replacements the biggest decision that Postecoglou has to make.
James Forrest is likely to come into contention for a start after making a substitute appearance in the 0-0 draw with Livingston at the weekend.
