Sunday’s fundraiser by the Green Brigade in aid of Food Banks raised almost £18,000 as well filling seven vans with food to be distributed across the west of Scotland.
Simply through word of mouth and social media word got out that Sunday’s game against Aberdeen was about more than three points.
While there were issues with Police Scotland and parking wardens from Glasgow City Council the end result is that December will be a lot more bearable for vulnerable families and individuals across the country.
Big thank you to all who donated to the food drive on Sunday.
This enormous act of solidarity and generosity from the Celtic support will help those most in need this Christmas. pic.twitter.com/zbUZfzB75J

Based solely on dedicated volunteers liaising with local charities all of the effort has proved worthwhile as they called on the good nature of the Celtic support to spend a little extra time and money on a freezing winters day.
During the lockdown of 2020 the Green Brigade arranged for the collection and distribution of hampers for NHS and Keyworkers consisting of toiletries alongside treats such as chocolate.
